I'm from Wisconsin (which is close to the General American Accent), and we DO make a distinction between cot and caught. He's also WAY over correcting his R sounds. I've been all over the US, and I've never heard any Americans say there R's that hard.

@toetapper04 I would have to agree with you about Pittsburgh. I visited there once, and it's a weird American accent. It's not entirely eastern like new york/new jersey and not entirely southern like virginia or kentucky. It's kind of a hybrid between the 2. I had to ask people more than once...

Your foreign accent is only moderate to mild, I wouldn't worry about it. The vast majority of Americans don't really care if you have an accent, so as long as they can understand. I don't think you'll have any problems. Your accent will improve with the more time you spend around native speake...
