About this user

This is my testimony and confession of faith in the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

When I was young about 7 years old, my sister bought me a bible and told me that God was real. She showed me in the bible how God viewed me as a sinner, and that if I believed in Jesus Christ and accepted him into my heart , I would be saved. I believed and she prayed with me to receive Jesus.
From that moment on I believed in God and had a basic faith in him. In that whenever I was in trouble I would call on him. Like the time I was on a flying fox and was hurtling towards a tree with my back exposed to colliding with it. I could feel the pain coming and sense the danger, I called out to God to save me, at the exact moment the words had left my mouth, instantly, the rope used to drag the rope up the hill, wrapped itself around some grass below and stopped. It has had an effect on me ever since.

I guess as I got older I became more of a religious person, mainly due to the church I was in. In some ways it has cost me dearly, and because of that cost it has made me more spiritual rather than religious. Mainly because now I have a stronger desire to follow after God and be accepted by him. That acceptance comes through Jesus and what happened at Calvary. Jesus is the son of God and he came to earth in the flesh. Despite many miracles and good works he was falsely accused, beaten and then hung on a cross until he died. He arose from the dead three days later, conversed with the apostles before ascending into heaven. There is no grave for him.

The blood of Jesus is significant to me in that I feel secure in my relationship with God, as God no longer looks at me as a sinner. This same spirit that raised him up, the same spirit that created the universe; now lives in me.
