About this user

I went to Disney World with my family when I was about 8 years old. When I walked into Main Street, there were little booths in the center of the street, where someone was lampworking using the crochet technique. That was it for me, It was magic, I think I spent hours that first day, constantly begging my parents to still be left there to watch, thankfully they agreed. Since then Ive been fascinated with glass and its movement.
Education:
Rosanne Palumbo lives and creates in Long Island NY. Rosanne is mainly a self-taught artist with some classes from college, books, videos, and a trip to Murano Italy where she observed master glass artists at work. Thus far Rosanne has studied with Vittorio Costantini and Eric Goldshmidt and attended the Glass Art Society conference 2004, The Art Glass Invitational 2006 and most recently with Robert Mickelsen at Tecnolux May 2007. Rosannes glass art began after a serious ankle injury left her unable to walk without the aid of crutches for 3 years and continues to impede daily life. Needing a new focus in life she turned to her childhood love of glass and all things that sparkle and add brightness to her life. Rosanne holds a B.A. in Media Studies from Queens College. Her talents range from glassblowing and sculpting to jewelry design and mural painting.

Artist Rosanne Palumbo creates one of a kind glass sculpture, jewelry, gift items, clocks and dinnerware. Specializing in aquatic life sculpture for home, garden or aquarium: Helicopter sculpture, and Rosanimal TM, which combines a twist of tongue with a twist of glass to brighten your day!
