Bubblegum and Cheese: Barry Blue
Alex chats to singer / producer / songwriter Barry Blue in the BBC Radio Solent studios to determine his Bubblegum and Cheese Top 3. Barry is best ...
Barry's best songs were always co-written with Lynsey de Paul - such as Dancin' (on a Satruray Night) and Sugar Me. Would be great if they would get back together again.

Lynsey De Paul - Ooh I Do (1974)
Hit for Lynsey in '74, from vinyl single (ok the record jumps... just once though)
under-rated classic from Ms de Paul, much heavier, fuller sound than more well known follow up "No Honestly". BTW Barry Blue's version is also great in a more Rubettes type of way.

Lynsey de Paul sings "Call me" (HQ)
An underrated song from her 1976 album "Before you go tonight". Enjoy it and leave a comment please.
"Before You Go Tonight" is a great album. Such a pity it wasn't released way back in 1976 due to Don Arden trying to sabotage Lynsey's career - what a bad manger he turned out to be - and not only for Lynsey. "Call Me" is a good song but the album contains a number of hidden gems, inclduing Lynse...

Bobbie McGee - Rock and Roll people
Kinda well known rock'n'roll Pearl from the mid 70s clap your hands!
Bobbie performed this on Top Of The Pops and despite radio play and stomping in Suzi's backyard it wasn't a hit....but it's a great song
