Rosalind, called Roz by family and friends, was born in New Jersey
on Feb. 19th,, the starting day of Pisces. Even though this songwriter
and lyricist's love for writing Pop and R&B music is tantamount, she
often escapes into other dimensions of creative abilities. This
Piscean young woman loves acting, print modeling, dancing and the
world of personal beauty.
From the start, we had a star. Serenading in the bathtub at the age of
3 to ballads like Let's Chill and singing the theme song from the
movie Pocahontas in third grade spawned the hunger that Roz has for
singing and performing.

Her parents, noticing her talent, signed her up for voice lessons and
studio production instruction. At age 13, Roz collaborated with her
vocal instructor, a local artist, to created her first songs, Halla
and Dying Inside.

After performing at the age of 15 at the historical Apollo Theatre in
Harlem, N.Y., where she belted out the gutsy rendition of Chaka Khan's
Sweet Thang, fans ran after her backstage for an autograph.
Throughout her high school years, Roz continued to perfect her singing
with voice lessons and music lessons in Boston. She also continued to
create songs with young area producers and other singers.

She was called into LaFace Records for an interview and was told that
they would be watching her over the next few years. After attending a
summer course at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., she
became convinced she should major in Vocals. And, upon auditioning for
college entrance at Berklee, she was awarded a four-year scholarship.
Rosalind now performs at nightclubs and social events in New York
City. She has also starred in the off-Broadway musical Imagine. In
the play, housed at Newark Symphony Hall, Ros played the main
character December, a runaway, abused orphan.

Ros has also appeared in print ads and in Nellys Shawty Wats Cha
Name Is music video. Every once in a while, Ros will sneak into a
jazz club to perform jazz and blues standards. She also sings gospel
music at her father's church, but her heart is in Pop and R&B. When
she is not performing, you can find her rehearsing with other dancers,
writing songs in-studio with other artists and producers or attending
acting classes.

I just like to have fun while I'm working, she says. My mother was
a print model, and my father was a concert and nightclub promoter so
this is in my blood.
