The Scholar Ship is a recognized academic program aboard a transformed passenger ship hosting students on semester-long voyages around the world. Participants from diverse cultural backgrounds come together to co-create a transnational learning community that develops their intercultural competence and fosters lifelong friendships.

The Scholar Ship program is built on the integration of four key elements

1. an onboard classroom learning environment
2. a multicultural residential and social community
3. an experiential-oriented port program
4. a strategic research initiative

The Scholar Ship embarks on a semester-long journey around the world twice a year, commencing each January and September. Itineraries vary from voyage to voyage, but all are planned to provide engaging learning experiences through a port program that complements the curriculum onboard.
