Ronaya is a 23 year old female raised in South London. She has been singing since the tender age of 13. Her family are from South America, Guyana and are very musically orientated. She has grown up listening to the traditional sounds of Calypso, Soca and reggae, as well as her own tastes being Soul, R&B, Hip-hop and old classics. Ronaya has always had a passion for music deep inside her soul and lived for every moment of it. She has many deep influences by many artists who have inspired her from a young age such as, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige, Christina Milian, Jennifer Lopez, Aretha Franklin, Usher, Mariah Carey, Beyonce Tupac and many more.....
Ronaya appeared on Nickelodeon when she was in Year 9 at school doing a dance with a friend that resulted in a dramatic response from the public even months after the show was broadcasted. She also appeared on 'Singled Out' and won due to singing her introductory line that got her chosen first up!! Again that too resulted in a huge response from the public years on from when the show was broadcasted!!
Whilst studying at school and college Ronaya had regrets on not being more focused on her singing throughout her younger years as that would of resulted as a better advantage for her to break through into the industry. It was not until '2004' when Ronaya started a Vocal Artist Course in Greenwich where she auditioned for shows and got through and was able to show the world what she is made of performing her own songs!! Many of these performances were held at, Charlton Football Ground, The Regional Festival, National Festival in Leicester and Stratford Circus to name a few. Ronaya had attracted the attention of well-known UK producers like Nutty P who is famous for working on tracks for Nathan and also Baby Blue on her new album to name a few and Sticky who was known for his track 'Boo' by Artist Ms.Dynamite and a track by Lethal Bizzle to name a few and currently has a track signed to EMI.
As well as singing Ronaya also has a passion for street dancing and studied Dance Choreography in her Vocal Artist Course. She is definitely one not to be reckoned with once she hits the dance floor! She has always been complimented when out with friends on how well she dances and people have asked her whether she is a dancer. However Ronaya insisted that if singing never did work out for her, she would turn to dancing as that is another 1 of her passions but singing has to be the deepest!
Ronaya has effortless undeniable talent along the scales of not just singing but dancing and modelling!!! A multi-talented phenomenon!!
And she will succeed in all if given the chance and opportunity!!
