they were my favourite band at the time. Saw them live many times. Beautiful long jams. I think this is the best track on the album. Just love that smooth tempo change towards the end.....something that Roger Powell, the drummer, was a master of.

my favourite live recording of Viola is the one from the dance hall, Rio Nido, CA on 9/3/67. It comes at the end of the The Grateful Dead '67 CD in the Golden Road Collection. Jerry's playing after the mid-jam climax is astonishing.
