These are probably caused by a passing airplane's navigation lights.

If you want to show Ebony drinking a glass of human blood, use tomato juice. It looks enough like blood to the untrained eye that you won't have to use pink Kool-Aid with a "(pretend this is human blood)" Post-It Note on it.
