I think Art Tatum is a god, but the one thing that always bugs me about listening to him play is how after listening to thousands of hours and transcribing his music down... all of his music starts to sound the same... :( still a genius as ever, though

@Maspixxx I lovvvvvve the Sonata :) Just listened to Yuja Wang play it, and it was brilliant :) Studied it in depth for a couple months at uni... and the Hammmerklavier is my favourite work by Beethoven too, haha.

I love this piece, but I think that that was all taken too fast, I've heard it performed live a few times and listened to other recordings, and I find that generally it is more effective at a most restrained tempo... That being said, Hamelin did play it brilliantly :)

The problem that I'm hearing is that you generally do a good job with the right hand, but your left hand is often far from the notes that Tatum used, and most of the time, some of the differences are easily heard and relatively easily corrected. I might eventually try to post this song, and hope ...
