Take you're pick of any guitar giants from the late sixties: Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, Green or Page. Mick Taylor's guitar playing on this song stands right alongside ANY of those guys and arguably even trancends some of them as well!

But someone could say the same thing about Hendrix. That on occasion he could play very sloppy and lack any sort of melody in his solos just for the sake of making loud and distorted noise. And most everyone would call it GENIUS!
