when i was down

worried and alone
when you came around.
Back when i was shy,
scared and meek,
and would jump to the slightest sound.
But you changed all that,
no suprise,
you kept me safe and opened my eyes,
to the world around me.
so huge it seems,
and lonely and cold,
With love slowly dying
as people grow old.
But you revealed a trace of hope to me,
(And slightly raised my self-esteem)
to the point where i could finally see
My potential and (inner) beauty.
and i found if we could just join hands,
raise our voices,
rally and stand,
things would not be as bad as they seem,
if we raised our voices,
wait and see.
