He was born on the 3th of june 1978 in Hunedoara (Romania).
As the founder of the Jimi Taylor Band and Rockin' Chair Band, he mainly plays popular blues from the 20's and contemporary blues, country trough rock and roll, has worked in several various styled setups. He is the one of the most noteworthy singer/guitarist of the young generation, an aspiring individual of the Hungarian blues life. The mystical and emotional diversity of music played by Jimi Taylor, comes with his Transylvanian descent.
He began to play blues encouraged by Jenő Fekete "Black Eugene" (Palermo Boogie Gang,Muddy Shoes) and influenced by blues legends like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker,Robert Johnson he started to play in amateur blues bands in Budapest. Later he worked in several sessions with: Tamás Szabó - harmonica (Palermo Boogie Gang), "Szoszó" Sándor Lakatos -piano (Endorfin), László Cser -bass (Big Fat Chubby & The Swamp Busters), Barna Idrányi - drums (Inflagranti), Svoboda Róbert - harmonica (Rockin' Chair) jamming with session musicians of hungarian blues life,in many other acoustic and electronic session setups, mixing various music styles such as blues, country, jazz, soul, funk and pop. He worked also with Rita Soul Trio for more then a year, and he also plays solo acoustic gigs.
With his band (Jimi Taylor Band) plays many covers of blues/rock/soul/jazz/funk by singers/guitarists like: B.B. King, Robben Ford, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, John Scofield, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, Slim Harpo, Bill Whiters, Jimi Hendrix, etc. He play often, in various setups with session musicians like: "Szoszó" Sándor-piano (ENDORFIN), Csók Imre "Csokesz" - bass (ELEVEN), Idrányi Barna - drums (INFLAGRANTI, ROCKIN' CHAIR), Nagy Zsolt-piano (S-MODELL).

Montgomery.
