Hello friends! I have been offline for a while but am starting to get back into building again. I have gotten a start on a new rather largish stirling engine and another small steam engine, just to get back into the groove. As soon as I get something running I promise you a new video. Homemade steam engine with boiler - running on steam.
Single-acting, reciprocating steam engine. It took five days to construct using brass tubing, sheet copper and hand tools.
Very nice build!
That design looks kinda familiar.

It runs a really long time on one charge of water in that little spray can. I run out of fire long befor I run out of water.

After seeing someone elses video of a similar engine eplode I am discontinuing my offer of the engine plans. Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

For gnats I would recommend a butterwort, or posibly a sundew. Mexican butterworts (pingicula) are easy to care for and will do fine on a diet of gnats. Lanceleaf sundews are cheap and easy to care for also. If I had to pick one for gnats it would be the butterwort. But don't expect the plant...

@Redslasher21 I believe de-ionized water would be ok, if you trust the source. I would test it with a TDS meter first. You can get a TDS meter pretty cheap on Ebay, and even at a good aquarium supply shop. Water is considered safe for these plants if it measures 50 or under on the TDS meter....
