Funny thing is, one thing that really set of the influence of the legendary Mr. Frank Frazetta (respectfully, RIP), in this animated movie when I watched it, was the heroine's ample rumpus. lol. We Miss ya, Mr. Frazetta. We need more like you in the world of Sci Fi and Fantasy, and art in general.

@themaster666able Also, I'm pretty sure, like most of the creatures in the movie, except for Kong himself, the model was probably built originally for Willis O'Brien's movie that was never made, "Creations". In that case, according to that script, it was (originally at least) intended to be a T-rex.

@GeneralSecura I read somewhere that Dimetrodon was about the size of a hippopotamus. So, yeah it's over-sized, but not by much

Yeah, I do notice, but you'll have that in almost any movie or cartoon with outsize creatures.

The King Kong Ride at Universal Studios partially inspired Jurassic Park? Cool. I loved that ride as a kid, as well as this movie. All the sadder, that the ride was torn down :(
