Well I'm a singer who doesn't work in "the biz". I've been in bands, choirs, I've done "solo" stuff (mostly sang a couple of times at a restaurant :| ).
People in general try to encourage me to pursue a singing career, and I'm not gonna lie, I think about it all the time, but this business it's one of the hardest ones to be in and even though it's very rewarding (lucrative and spiritually), it's also very demanding and -excuse me for my French- fucked up.
I mean we see it every day, new singers (mostly females), that dress like a runway models, sing (or try to) about how sad it is to lose your boyfriend, or how much fun it is to go clubbing or how amusing is to wear short skirts and drive the guys crazy (just to leave them wanting something they where never gonna have to begin with). I mean it's just stupid, it's sad, knowing of how powerful music can be, and how many ppl. have done such an amazing work with it, and now it's being transformed into a weapon of stupidity, capable of turning young ppl. into wannabe gangsters, ho's, goths, and everything else that's "pop" these days...It makes me wanna cry and kill at the same time.

That's why I'm not in the biz...and that's why I doubt I'll ever be in.

I did have an interview w/ a producer a while ago (someone important apparently)
I won't name names 'cuz:
1) I forgot it
2) I don't really care about his name.
Anyhow...the guy complemented me on my voice, my look, my personality, EVERYTHING...and when it came to TALKING BUISSNESS he made it very clear "drop a few pounds" he said "and maybe we can put you in some show or something to launch your popularity".
That was it...that was everything I needed to hear to know this would probably never be "my world".
Besides the fact that I'm happy with my body (not skinny, not fat...JUST ME IN ALL MY GLORY), I'm not about to change ANYTHING for somebody else...if I change I'll do it for me not for some guy who thinks he'll be able to use me more, sell me more, basically morph me into a "product" (just like they do with everybody now a days) who looks just like the person standing next at the "red carpet"...I refuse to do that, and if that means not singing professionally...THEN LET IT BE!...as long as I can sing in my car, in my room, in the street, WHEREVER I FEEL LIKE IT...I'm ok.

As you might have seen I'm very opinionated, and strong headed... I'm honest and I call it as I see it...also I'm very sarcastic, I joke a lot and you better not try to argue something with me 'CUZ I ALWAYS WIN! hahaha :p.
But I do have my good side, you just gotta stick around long enough to see it come out.
