You really need either the proper righting frame (folds up under the tramp) or a pole so as you can get the leverage. The 16 is a perfectly ok cat to solo, solo mine most times though using the Jib is not always a wise idea, gets a bit too much to handle:)

I would add a small rudder, and make up a pedal steering system, and add skegs (if there arent any already fitted) that way windward performance would improve.

Not sure of the lighter end, possibly 70kgs? I weigh around 95 kgs, you can handle quite a wind on the 700. I am not the fittest of people but with patience and loads of practice, I am sure most people can sail them.

Love mine, one of the best boats I have bought so far.

Not bad! nice little tune. Yeah its that easy...the samples are all ready to go but you can record your own and mess about with the BPM and theres a host of features to alter the sample to suit what you want.

The ease of use doesnt detract as such...depends on your imagination...and lots of folk ...

Cats are LOT of fun, got a Hobie 16 which I can solo easily...tho leave the jib at home as its a bit too much in a heavy wind.

If you have never sailed a cat, get out and do it...they are easier than many mono hulls...just watch that leeward bow!!!!:)
