About this user
Having first toured at the age of 13, it is no secret that Rob Michaels has music running through his veins. The Los Angeles singer/songwriter/producer got his start at 8 years old when he taught himself to play the piano and later the guitar and by 12 found musical mentors in superstar artists Marino de Silva and Santana. At 13, Rob was signed to Rainflower Music (now defunct Universal Recording Label) and began touring. During this time, Rob wrote a track for the film Angel's Freeway and played sessions with Tommy Eyre, Alex Ligertwood, the Simpson sisters, Battina Bush, Cassandra Denver and many others. In addition, he has done work for CSI and soundtracks. His music is a mélange of eclectic sounds ranging from hard rock to country, most heavily influenced by bands such as the Goo Goo Dolls, Oasis and Motley Crue. Rob has showcased at major venues from Vegas to New York including performances at the Los Angeles Keyclub, Sol Festival and Warped Tour. Having rubbed shoulders with some of the best in the biz, Rob has jammed with Santana, Toto, John Waiit and the Goo Goo Dolls and has recorded at studios such as Red Zone, Capitol Records and Paramount Studios. April 8 marked the launch of Rob's E.P and a tour is currently being booked for summer 2008. For more information on Rob Michaels, visit his MySpace at www.myspace.com/robmichaels.
