People on both sides of bullying incidents need help and openly talking about bullying before it happens is the best way for people to learn how to recognize and react to bullying, regardless of who is the victim. Bullying should not be ignored; this includes bullying that makes others feel excluded and shunned because bullying behaviors should never be considered a normal part of growing up. If you witness bullying, intervene and speak up. Make it clear that bullying of any kind, for any reason, is unacceptable.

If you have been the victim of bullying, of any kind, it is not your fault. Please do not suffer in silence because there are people who can help: http://www.overcomebullying...

About Me:

Hello and welcome to my Bully Free Zone channel!

School can be tough for any student, and it can be especially wrenching if you're taunted or harassed by your peers, if you are made to feel worthless or alone because you don't look or act like everybody else. Students are often bullied for reasons beyond those prohibited by anti-harassment laws. Particularly at risk are students who are perceived as gay or lesbian, or who do not conform to stereotypical gender expectations. Students are also targeted for not belonging to the majority race or class, because they have learning or other challenges, for being overweight or obese, less (or more) intelligent, athletic, attractive, confident or simply because they dare to be different. If we allow harassment and bullying to continue at our schools, we fail to protect the diversity of our children and ultimately our whole culture. No one should ever feel so hopeless or tormented that they take their own life.

Bullying is a form of repeated aggression that is directed by a person or persons towards another person. Bullying tends to occur in places from which escape is difficult and takes four main forms: 1) Physical bullying, where a person or persons use physical force to hurt another person by hitting, pushing, shoving, kicking, pinching or holding that person down. Physical bullying also includes taking or breaking a person's belongings or stealing or extorting money; 2) Verbal bullying is when a person or persons use words to hurt another person. Verbal bullying includes threatening, taunting, intimidating, insulting, sarcasm, name-calling, teasing, slurs, graffiti, put-downs and ridicule, hostile gestures such as making faces, staring, giving the evil eye, eye rolling and spitting; 3) Relational bullying occurs when a person or persons disrupt another person's peer relationships through leaving them out, gossiping, whispering and spreading rumors. Relational bullying includes when a person or persons turn their back on another person, giving them the silent treatment, ostracizing or scapegoating; and 4) Cyber bullying refers to the use of cell-phones, text messages, e-mails, instant messaging, chats, blogs and social networking sites to bully another person in any of the ways described above. Examples of cyber bullying are sending threatening or insulting texts, posting untrue information or personal pictures about another person on social networking sites, using another person's email or IM name to send messages that make the person look bad, creating a web page devoted to putting down another person, or forwarding a text or e-mail that was meant for one particular person's eyes only.

Aggressive behavior often starts early in a child's life. Although it is normal for young children to hit, fight, and argue with each other, most will learn to control these impulses. Parents can help their children understand that their words and actions affect other people and play an important role in making their children aware of others' feelings. A child may be bullying another child if he or she: 1) Comes home from school with extra money or "new" toys, books, or clothes; 2) Is cruel or mean when talking about other children; or 3) Excludes other children from activities. If you see any of this behavior, take action before the behavior becomes routine. Ask questions to find out what is going on in the child's life because the child may not yet know the importance of understanding the feelings of others (empathy), or it may be that the child is being bullied and is dealing with it by targeting other children.

robingoodfellow4135 The Center for American Progress estimates that GLBT youth account for 20-40 percent of homeless youth in the US because families are banishing their GLBT children as they come out; the average age that a GLBT youth becomes homeless is 14.4 years old. This is a genuine question and not, i repeat NOT a taunt, but do you guys have any hints and tips for those being bullied by the police? you only have to type in "filming the police is dangerous" and you'll see some of the most distressing videos on youtube, all the violence being unlawfully committed is BY those supposedly protecting us. So my question is what when the people running your country are the bullies, do you guys stretch this far? Pablo :)
