Does anyone know who's singing the backup vocal? I've heard it's Tata Vega. Whoever she is, she nearly steals the record, I can't believe Diana allowed it. "aaaaoooooooo." On this alternate version, the bridge/chorus sounds like "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

I don't think pulling his hand away from the guitar was unplanned. She switches the mike to her other hand just before she grabs his hand on "sisters and my brothers." I think that was planned, and lovely.

They absolutely should have used Natalie's own voice, her versions are touching and lovely, and Daisy was not supposed to be Maria Callas. Dubbing is just stoopid.

Linda and Dolly singing backup. Such a great song, she sets up the whole story of the album in two lines: "When Mama picked him up in south Minnesota, he promised her the world but they never got that far/and he was last seen in that '59 De Soto and Sally was born in the black hills of Dakota."
