I'm a former award-winning Marketing Manager, a vocational Chartered Marketer who took quite a long break after managing to break my back twice doing Extreme sports... I was always great at taking off, I just struggled with the landings a couple of times! As a result, I'm 'mobility-impaired' and use a walking stick, something I never intend to get used to.

During my break while consigned to the sofa I studied lots more marketing, web design, network administration, psychology, NLP and a whole gamut of diverse subjects - as a bit of an information sponge, I like to keep learning... and it's ever more important, the speed of change in the Information Age. Transferable skills are a vital tool in staying ahead of the game.

I own and run Ex Ignibus and Rob Bell Web Design, helping businesses and attract customers and grow revenues through high-quality, innovative Marketing and Internet solutions.

I'm also an Internet Marketing Megalomaniac who is very (very) slowly taking over the world, one page at a time...

Lance Armstrong, winner of the Tour de France from 1999-2005 after suffering testicular, brain, and lung cancer, helped me work through the pain and self-defeat brought on by my disability by providing inspiration - heck compared to his ordeal I was lucky! Here are a couple of quotes from this role model of mine:

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell.
