I'm not sure what this test is supposed to show. On a DSLR like the 7D the speed of the autofocus os determined almost exclusively by the lens, and not the body. This is to be expected, as the limiting factor the motor, which is in the lens and not the body. If you comare, say a 70-200 L series and a 50mm 1.8 Canon lens, you'll see a huge difference in autofocus speed. The 70-200 with its ultrasonic motor is almost to fast to notice, while the 50mm will whir quite a while until is 'latches on'.
