this song is not there in the dvd.cant remember seeing it on vhs either.there was another dance sequence of rajshree on vhs which is deleted from the dvd plus several other scenes of jagdeeps comedy track.mubarak ho ahsanbhai!

apparently sidharth bhatia who wrote cinema modern-the navketan story saw a poor print of this version and wrote it off as a bad film.this short clip itself appears stilted,so one has to believe bhatia.anyway for dev fans it will be a rare treat especially since he has left us last month.

seems to be an unreleased film of kumar gaurav when his career nosedived in the mid to late 80s.

though suraiya was linked with dev anand and they starred in 7 films together between 1948 and 1952,none of these films did all that well.this was the phase when suraiya lost out to the other upcoming actresses of the time like nargis,meena kumari ,madhubala and geeta bali.

like the lyrics of the actress song.seems to sum up the sentiments once the british handed over the reins to us.
