Yes wire guided Torpedoes are slow. The the Russian "Shkval" is the exception. More an underwater rocket - 400km per hour.
US citizen - Edmond Pope (Captain, USN, retired)was convicted for trying to steal the secrets of this Torpedo/Rocket in 2000.

Completely unbalanced. I expect better of the BBC - more like a Fox Documentary made for the Fundamentalists of the USA. Then again next to the USA Britain is the second most dogma driven country in the World. [when will Britain realise there Born to Rule days are gone.]
