This original version HAS to be brought back, with the chimes or "bong"s between the headlioes. It grabs you with so much more gravitas to it than the puny synth version of nowadays. Please ITV, it IS the soundtrack of the TV news.

I love all these lush orchestrations/arrangements which are so rare today because nearly everythings knocked out by synths in a laboratory - giving it none of that depth and texture - now it seems.

If the charts of today had songs on a par with this in them the world would be a happier place!

I don't think they understand that the way they try and torpedo any videos of a track other than their own to force you one way merely adds to the resentment.
