Without Googling this song, I believe it was 1961 and I was a Sophmore in high school. Loved dancing with the girls to this song. Just a great ballad. This was back when Friday & Saturday night dances were still popular. Better than walking the Mall.

George is just one of about 5 of my greatsest all-time favorite country singers. I've been to three of his concerts and he showed up for all three. He sings with a lot of passion and he should have no problem doing that with all of the things he's been through in his life.

When Tammi died, part of Marvin died also. Although she was engaged to a doctor, I always believed that Tammi and Marvin had a very special bond for each other.

In my opinion, when Tammi died, so did Marvin. He always seemed to have a thing for her and I thought for sure that they would hook up someday. They just seemed to be a perfect fit.

Not one of Richie's best, but it was only a studio cut. Richie was a profound singer and a man that was going to be a big start had he not got on that damn plane.

OH, Man. Why did this music ever go away? I never see young people dancing slow anymore. What ever happened? I can only imagine to cruising in my '57 Chevy with the top down and my girl sitting next to me with so much hairspray on that I was worried about breaking her hair when I touched it.

I saw these guys about 3 years ago in Lancaster, PA. Earl can still hit the high notes and when he sang these ballads, he was definitely on top of his game. These are the type of songs that I could listen to all night for a month or longer.

Steve was a little late arriving on the singing music scene. If he had been about 5 years earlier, his style of music and singing would have made him a "super star."
