If I'm correct she was pregnant with her sixth child here. That would explain some of the difference in her voice. I sing myself. When ur pregnant ur voice can take on a different tone.

Christina has a beautiful voice but one thing she obviously didn't learn from Etta is that less is more. The song would have been so much better without all the little embellishments. Just my opinion.
