When I was in first grade, everyone made fun of my name, of course. I think it's kind of a big name to hold up when you're nine years old. It seemed goofy. I used to tell people I wanted to change the world and they used to think, 'This kid's really weird'.

River Phoenix has such a big impact on my life, he was an amazing person who cared about the earth and all its beings. I was born in 1991 so I was very young when he died, and I didn't even really know who River was until about 2008. And it's amazing to me that a person that I never met or never talked to, some one before my time can have such a big influence on me. He makes me want to better myself, makes me realize that there are things I can do to help better this world.
