Captain Beefheart is my favorite musician, but this is a really fucking good cover. I prefer Beefheart's more bizarre approach to it, but they make it sound quite nice indeed. Long live the Captain!

The distorted vocals, the blacksmith-y sound in the background, and the creepy guitar feedback make this song so fucking amazing. Mark Lanegan is a boss. I wish more people knew of his music. Whiskey for the Holy Ghost is one of my favorite albums right now.

So funny how this amazing vocalist only ever sang because he was too poor a drummer. He was originally the drummer for Screaming Trees, but they made him sing because their singer at the time was a much better drummer than he was. Thank you, Mark, for being a bad drummer. :)
