What a wonderful song and what a great era the 60's was. There was a feeling of real change, old making way for the young and that anything was possible. Trouble is, we all grew up. But they were the best times ever.

Could someone please explain to a Brit why the south is referred to as Dixie?

These two are right up there with McCartney & Lennon, Jagger & Richards, Bacarach & David. I loved the weirdness of this when it first came out and the way lots of the lyrics didn't rhyme or make sense. The only band I never saw live - my great regret in life. Do they ever tour now?

Hard to argue against H&O, but I think Becker and Fagan almost take top spot in terms of invention, innovation and unbearable talent. And who's in top spot? Come on.....Lennon & McCartney. If not for them, no others follow.
