What a wonderful song and what a great era the 60's was. There was a feeling of real change, old making way for the young and that anything was possible. Trouble is, we all grew up. But they were the best times ever.

It always surprises us Brits that the north/south thing still lingers on. Isn't it about time you all got over it and moved on?

Along with Jagger/Richards, McCartney/Lennon, John/Taupin one of the greatest partnerships of all time. I grew up with SD but sadly never saw them live. Maybe one day....

flash2k, I'm curious - what's the story behind the video? How did you get involved, where was it filmed, etc. Can't join your band as I'm musically inept but wish you well anyway.

These two are right up there with McCartney & Lennon, Jagger & Richards, Bacarach & David. I loved the weirdness of this when it first came out and the way lots of the lyrics didn't rhyme or make sense. The only band I never saw live - my great regret in life. Do they ever tour now?

Hard to argue against H&O, but I think Becker and Fagan almost take top spot in terms of invention, innovation and unbearable talent. And who's in top spot? Come on.....Lennon & McCartney. If not for them, no others follow.

Great pop song from one of the most talented singer/songwriting partnerships. I think I'm right in saying they never released this as a single for themselves?
I saw a documentary on Gilbert recently and I'd forgotten how many lovely songs he'd written, particularly this one. He seemed bitter about the past and unable to move on, trapped in a 70's bubble. There's no way he can revive this kind of style now, but I bet he could write/produce some beautifu...
