he lacked the feel and precision to do justice to Michael's stuff. Always sounded clumsy to me.

I miss the old tone. Schenker still sounds like Schenker. VH 2 was so dry but that's my favorite E VH tone.

Met Rudy Schenker when I used to wait on tables at the Westin Hotel in Calgary back in 1988. Nicest, friendliest guy ever. I probably drove him nuts with my incessant fan questioning when he was trying to eat but he was most kind. I'll always remember that.

What's with the German guitarists and their incredible tone. Add Uli obviously to that list. All similar in some aspects.

I wish I could find their first couple of albums on CD. Cool band of the first order.

They sound turbo charged compared to UFO of the same era. WAAYYY more energy than the UFO Rockpalast concert. Interesting comparison having just watched both.

He's a pretty decent guitar player. He did a few solos here and there with Bad Company. Check out the guitar playing on "Cut Loose" where he plays all instruments.
