Rick Vittallo was born in Chicago, Ill. Son of legendary guitarist and entertainer Rick Vittallo Sr., who's accomplishments include the muti-million seller RCA hit song by The Three Suns, "Twilight Time". They recorded many hits including, "Sentimental Journey", "Satin Doll", and countless albums. As a young boy, Rick was a musical prodigy studying classical guitar with Master Richard Pick at the Chicago School of Music from the age of 9 years old until he was 16. He moved to Los Angeles in the early 70's to continue his musical education at the Dick Grove Music School. His first job in L.A. was Musical Director for Buddy Greco. He then moved to Las Vegas where he was on the house band at the "Marina Hotel". By the late 70's, Rick began working with his Father and forming his own band. He developed a kind of symbiotic "thing" - and it resulted in being one of the busiest bands in L.A. In the 8o's Rick worked with stars like Frank Sinatra, Connie Stevens and conducted a 49 piece Orchestra for Engelbert Humperdinck, including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra, among many others. By the 90's Rick was working as an MCA actor at Universal Hollywood as "Frankenstein" in the Beetle Juice Graveyard Revue, singing, dancing, acting and playing guitar in the live show. National commercials and appearances followed. He played for 10 years at Paramount Studio's in Hollywood on the hit TV show, "Frasier" and 6 years on the TV show, "News Radio", plus sidelining and playing many TV pilots. After 4 decades Rick is still living, and playing in L.A, California. Rick is a world-class guitarist and vocalist performing all classical, rock, pop, jazz, latin and country styles in live and recorded performances. He is currently working with Connie Stevens, The Susie Hansen Latin Band, and leading his own 10 piece bands "Ricky V" and "The King Rhythm Babies". Go to "Videos" to see the band. He has worked with, and learned from many of the musical greats of our time. As a guitarist, arranger and conductor, Rick Vittallo has led everything from a trio to a symphony orchestra. His performance with the London Philharmonic is internationally well known. He is also an actor, comedian, and a Martial Arts Instuctor holding a Black Belt in Kenpo Karate and was a Black Belt Instructor at "The Advanced Academy of Martial Arts" in Ca. and other schools nationally taught by Master Jeff Speakman, Professor John Conway, Professor John Conway Jr, Hanshi John Geyston and Prosessor Kris Adrian.
