Richard Taylor was born in Scarborough, UK in 1976 and now lives and works in Dublin after moving to Ireland in 2002. He achieved a distinction on a BTEC foundation course in Art & Design from The Yorkshire Coast College Scarborough and went on to gain a 2:1 Degree in Photography & video design from Bolton University, Greater Manchester, UK. After university he went on to work as a freelance photographer and as a lab manager for a retail store in Manchester as well as running his own 'Photographic Restoration' business. Since then he has worked in various Photographic outlets and is currently working as a freelance photographer in Dublin, Ireland.
Richard was trained in the traditional methods of photography, Darkroom processing, hand printing and studio production but has embraced digital photography as his main creative output method. He is currently working on projects that combine traditional methods and digital technology in the creation of his artwork.
Alongside his artwork he takes on commissioned work, such as Editorial Fashion photography and contemporary portraiture.
