Hunyadi was known as the white knight. Vlad was a great hero in romania. Though vlads methods were questionable, it helped to save romania from the islamic threat.

Weren't these guys Roman catholic/Orthodox though? They were called the Teutonic order of St. Mary's hospital. Some even served in Jerusalem. This order came to be far before the protestants were even recognized as being Christians.

The funny part about that is that the french won the 100 years war. Which is the only actual medieval war they fought against them. They ended up getting the better end after the english were driven out.
