PLEASE READ: First - I am not just some "liberal hack" here on YouTube spewing out a party line. For instance, Obama's position on ethanol as an alternative fuel is Bad policy, (McCain flip flopped on this issue too though, supporting it leading up to the Iowa caucuses).
Also - I am not against more drilling; however, I am against McCain turning this rather serious issue into a political stunt - and confusing the average voter by preying on the ignorance of what is a rather complex issue.
Most people (even according to a Rasmussen poll just taken) think that more drilling = more oil = decrease cost and less dependency on foreign oil. Well that just isnt the case...even if John McCain and the "straight talk express" say otherwise.
Additionally - Whats interesting is Right this very second - the oil companies clammering for more land to drill on already have access to over 71 billion untapped barrels of offshore oil; and according to the US Dept of Interior and the Mineral Management Service, this amounts to 4/5ths of all the offshore oil available.
And better yet- of all of this land that is currently available to them - how much of it are the oil companies actually utilizing right now - ohhh - only around 1/4 of it!!! Yet, somehow magically if we give them more land to drill on (even though they dont have the personnel or equipment) this will suddenly and unequivocally reduce prices and dependency on foreign oil. God I love pixies!!

Ok - so this whole thing started with FurkDaJerk when he uploaded a series of videos claiming Ron Paul had many of his delegates in NV stolen. This pissed me off considerably and I proceeded to watch this guy's video...thinking that I was going to see RP supporters disenfranchised. Well that couldnt be further from the - it was actually the RP supporters that were STEALING other peoples' votes. And well - on the basis of principle - that is SO NOT COOL!!! And well - I also cant stand hypocrites, liars, thieves, and people that resort to deceiving other people to advance an agenda...and thus - this response video was borne!!!
I hope Ron Paul continues to the Rep Convention and I hope this is only the beginning of his Revolution...as Pete (from above) might say - this revolution is only in its infancy! I agree that our govt is corrupt and I share with many RP supporters this vision of eradicating that influence!! (but I disagree with SO many more of RP's positions) Go Obama '08!!

Ok - so if you watched the entirety of the video, you came across my little wager: wherein I bet a plane ticket to Washington D.C. on January 20, 2009.
Ok - so here are the basic details: the wager is for one (1) round-trip coach (but you can upgrade my ticket to 1st class if you truly desire) to Washington DC in and around the 20th of Jan, and up to the discretion of when the winning party decides to arrive and leave DC. Hillary doing what she does best Pandering for votes, this time by promoting her "Gas tax holiday" scam. There isn't a single credible economist in the country that is willing to back her idea - Not one!!!
Additionally a group of economists from all different political and idealogical stripes have come together and opposed this same idea, as well as nearly every major newspaper in the country!!
Heck even her own campaign knows that this is a scam, and have admitted as much to teh Washington Post...but it is "good politics" (i.e. - Hillary can win some votes). So even though she understands the fundamental flaws of the idea and that there is ABSOLUTELY zero support in the senate, she is running a scam for votes. It's sad Hillary - really, really sad!!!
