Hi Richard from a conservative in Michigan.

I am a conservative. I used to say conservative Republican but the party has been hijacked. In 2006 I was a precinct delegate but passed it up this year because of the McCain.

I was VERY pleasantly surprised by McCain's announcement of Palin as choice for VP. I have grown so used to pulling his thumb out of my eye that my expectations from McCain we very low.

This doesn't mean that he wont try to sneak an amnesty package through, or any of his other loose cannon moves but this is just his way to try to get us on board for the election.

I was going to write in Duncan Hunter as my protest at the election, now MAYBE I will participate.
