@oldstock1607 Not exactly. Religion tends to take on that form when social and economic conditions deteriorate, it isn't religion in itself. When people become desperate, they turn to demagogues in the form of religious or political leaders.

Religious people of today are a disgrace to the wisdom and enlightened understanding found in some theological thought, as this video illustrates very well.
