September 1, 1940, my parents had this song at their wedding. I remember my mother singing and humming this song.

There is so much truth in this song. Before you know it, you are an old man like me of 69 years and looking back at your life wondering where the time went. The children are grown and some have already joined the Lord. It seems like yesterday that I was a child, married and raised a family.

I remember, as a child along with my parents, listening to Russ Morgan music on the radio. Brings back many happy memories.

This song tells my story the first time I returned home after leaving the farm 50 years ago. When I hear this song, it still brings tears to my eyes. My 19 years on the farm were the happiest times. It is to bad that economics caused us to quit farming.

I love this song. It brings back memories of time spent in the outdoors with my now deceased son.
