RhetOracle Dance Company

The concert dance world has the tendancy to become dense and cryptic as it focuses more on its art than on the people who are viewing it, becoming inacessible by the everyday person. The commercial dance world often, in an attempt to sell or market something, becomes empty and can lose sight of the reason dance existed in the first place: to express meaning. RhetOracle is a new contemporary jazz company founded with the mission to bridge the gap between these two worlds by creating dances that entertain the mainstream audience member while also inspiring, challenging, and educating with what we have to say. Without compromising the artistic integrity of the artists, but creating thematic and story-based dances that even a first-time viewer can connect to, we hope to speak to a new audience and help reinvent the concert dance world.
