Take to the skies in this spectacular adventure for the entire family. Both visually and aurally breathtaking, The Flying Machine is the first film ever to combine 3D, stop-motion animation and live action, united by the stunning music of Frédéric Chopin. Produced by Hugh Welchman — whose Peter & the Wolf short won an Academy Award®in 2008 — the film weaves imagination, magic and drama into a unique dual fairy tale that unfolds to the sounds of world-renowned classical pianist Lang Lang's sublime interpretations of Chopin's Études.
The film's live-action segment is set in present-day London, where career-focused single parent (Heather Graham) juggles her professional life with parenting. Overworked and inattentive to the needs of her two children, she has a chance meeting with Lang Lang and his flying-piano contraption, which prompts her to re-evaluate her life and priorities as she's hurled skyward.
In a wordless stop-motion segment, we are introduced to young Anna, who is separated from her beloved father because of his work. Heartbroken, she and her cousin attempt to reunite with him by traversing the globe on the flying machine.
Working entirely in 3D, directors Martin Clapp, Geoff Lindsey and Dorota Kobiela are supported by a world-class team of animators. Stunningly imaginative figures and a lively colour palette culminate in the film's pièce de résistance: the carefully constructed, piano-powered aircraft of the title.
What began as a short film project celebrating the two-hundredth anniversary of Chopin's birth has blossomed into one of the most dazzling marriages of animation and classical music since Fantasia.
This film is recommended for ages seven and up.

I recently saw this trailer on youtube and got really excited about it. It looks like it's going to be very good. Release date is October 19, 2011 in France. I don't know anything about the English dub or when it's going to be release in America or anywhere else. However, I will keep tabs on it and will let you know whenever I do. Hope you enjoy it!

BBC's adaptation of Christopher Isherwood's biographical novel of the same name. The 'divinely decadent' Berlin cabaret scene is in full swing when a young and wide-eyed Christopher Isherwood arrives in the city to stay with his close friend and occasional lover, the poet WH Auden. To Isherwood's reserved English sensibility, the city's thriving gay subculture is thrilling and intoxicating. But Christopher soon finds himself heartbroken after the failure of a hopeless love affair, and so sets out on a process of self-discovery as he forges an identity and place for himself amidst the chaos of 1930s Berlin.
