As I understand it, Patty Smyth was approached by friend Eddie Van Halen to replace David Lee Roth, but she said that it wouldn't be the right sound the band as they knew it. They had to get another GUY. That guy was Sammy Haggar. But Patty Smyth was always a great singer and a Rockin' Chick!!!

I still remember listening to this song on the AM radio in 1973 and thinking how beautiful it sounded. Even today, I get teary and feel like going back to when I was 8 years old! I had a wonderful childhood and I am glad life holds these moments for us all.

Many of my sister's clients (she's an Interior designer) now listen to Swing Out Sister because of this song, which can go easily from car stero to cocktail party. It's for ALL situations, all classes, all the time! Love the smooth sound!

I love Swing Out Sister and this song is AMAZING! I can't see why it wasn't released in the US... But then, there is a LOT of excellent music that never gets here, because record companies don't believe that it will sell. What a JOKE!
