REPORTCARD2000.com was established by a CPA to evaluate the economy of the 1990s and 2000 based on the often cited, and apparently endorsed by most Democrats, CBO's $5.6 trillion budget surplus projection that was published in the final days of the Clinton administration. Unlike the politicians who only seem to finish the 2nd sentence in the 190 page report, REPORTCARD2000 evaluates the assumptions in the report, with the benefit of 6 years of data, to determine which assumptions proved to be accurate and which assumptions proved to be invalid. This is a process that is customary by anyone serious about evaluating any projection. The obvious conclusion is many politicians, including Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-ND), House Budget Committee Chairman Jack Spratt (D-SC) and Hillary Clinton, are not interested in evaluating the budget projection for the purpose of understanding and explaining what really happened, they are only interested in political opportunism.
