About this user
My campaign motto is less tax, less government, more freedom. Returning home after serving as a combat infantry officer in Iraq, I was amazed how much state government had grown and how taxes, particularly property taxes, had risen.
I believe two things: First, government doesnt own wealth; it gets wealth from you and me. Second, government doesnt produce wealth; we do. And only in the private sector is tax revenue generated to pay for government programs.
When legislation comes before me for new government programs it will have to pass three tests: First, is it needed? Second, can it be done more efficiently in the private sector thereby creating private sector jobs that then re-contribute to the tax base? Finally, if its worthy of my vote, its funding must come from existing revenues, rather than new taxes.
I will support legislation that shrinks government, promotes growth in the private sector instead and protects our free enterprise system - the only real source of jobs and prosperity.
I will fight to limit government intervention in your health care decisions which restricts your right to choose your own doctor and drives up costs.
