About this user
"In time of art & decadence the freedom of individual thinking will survive. Electronica is part of it. Colours of the colourless will grow, sights of the blinds will die. Magic & white lines are crossing darkness, sex, rapture, pain, sin, love, beauty, death & destruction."
Replicant was formed in 2006. After a long time of making music in different areas of music, Lennox was being ready for something darker & harder. Till then he was just famous for making electro and experimental pop. He made an ambient album called Paranoid Desire, some first demos and promo material, collected and later released on a private pressed sampler called Revolution. Lennox continued with first single releases on the internet. Then the first EP followed.
Replicant is being the human becoming dream of sin, sex, pain, tears, pleasure, devotion and modern life. A part of an monument.
The feelings of destruction, miserablelism, uniforms, rapture, insomnia, passion, love, lately and weakness are getting united. After Replicant met the british band Client, one of his biggest musicaly influences, he was totaly convinced that electronica definately can be rock and roll, you don't need guitars. Then he also explored the world o other electro bands which he had just note beside of his music favourites. He got more into Kraftwerk, Ladytron, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, DAF, Soft Cell, Visage, New Order, Joy Division, Throbbing Gristle, then a few years later also new bands like IAMX/Chris Corner, Robots In Disguise, Zoot Woman and finaly Fischerspooner.
After working on his first project Lennox he wanted to go back to darker electronic sounds, back to synthesizers, computers and for somehing which even can get played live. Replicant was born. He recorded first demos and started directly working on the first EP, a debut single "Turn It UP", on artwork, website designs and created this piece of art. The reaction was imense, lovely and nice. People regognized this project hidden deeply in the electro undergound. Now he's becoming more successful and on the way to start the first steps of Replicant into the music business.
