I wrote a comment last night and it disappeared. Please note that when Jesus said "He never knew you" it was because those people did not yield to Jesus, Paul Washer may have repented before He made Jesus to be his Savior and Lord, but when Paul said "live FOR Christ", he spoke like he had never been saved. Correct Scripture would be "Let Jesus Christ live His life through you" or "yield to the Holy Spirit as He leads you". "Living FOR Christ" is trying to do the will of God by your "flesh" or without acknowledgement of Jesus in symbiotic union with you. With much love!

Yunginspirit - search for a video called "The Background of the Shocking Youth Message". Paul Washer explains the lead up and general atmosphere there. As for Joel Osteen, who doesn't like him? Nothing disagreeable comes out his mouth; even the world loves him...that's the problem.

James 4:4 - "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."

Hi...what did you mean when you said on one of Paul Washer's video's?..."At one point in this sermon the 5,000 Youth are 'clapping and yelling' BUT THEN the preacher 'makes a comment' that CHANGES THE WHOLE ATMOSPHERE TO WHERE 'YOU COULD HAVE HEARD A PIN DROP'... As you can imagine, the preacher was never invited back."

Huh?! I don't remember the youth hollering and clapping (well, they only clapped a teeny bit). And when did Washer make a comment that shocked and silenced them, "that you could hear a pin drop?" In fact, you could have heard a pin drop throughout 95% of the whole sermon. It was the quietest audience ever. I am curious, what did Paul say that was so shocking? (I'm not an admirer of Paul Washer. I much prefer Joel Osteen.) Thank you for responding

Thank you so much for the "Shocking Message" by Paul Washer. It was really encouraging and convicting. Some of my friends won't talk to me anymore because I've said things like he did to them. =( It's nice to know I'm, not alone in my convictions! God bless!
