Maybe a good camera, but all shots could have been taken with a tripod. This would have made the picture 100% better! And even then the Super8 charm would have been kept.

Nice picture. I know Venice very well, so I do recognize a lot of things, except for the snow there. But please, if you ever produce another film (hope so), use a tripod or a thing alike. These scenes easily could have been less nervous. But maybe I am wrong and this is part of the picture...
