The Wave USA thewaveusa.com when she was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005. She was treated for 6 months and enjoyed 20 months of good health before she relapsed. During those 20 months, she attended a semester at Canadian Mennonite University CMU, and a winter of Film Production at Capilano College North Van. She worked in the industry until her relapse. She went back to New York for treatment at www.mskcc.org. She was scheduled for bone marrow transplant on Wednesday Feb 29. She died the day before.
