Hey guys, Whats up!? I am here to learn and experience life. I believe that knowledge is power, and even more so that knowledge is only POTENTIAL power until used. I am a college student and very much into psychology. My ultimate life goal is reaching self actualization; A state where I have satisfied all my needs and my families needs so that I can move onto the greater good of humanity and help this world in my own unique way. Speaking about an open mind: Ghandi was a great philosopher. "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Many would agree this fact.; But Bruce Lee, Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali are also great philosophers. Today we live in a brainwashed society where intelligence is no longer celebrated. Smart people are now called "geeks" and are portrayed as goofy looking men and women with glasses and a bad fashion sense with absolutely no hope of ever getting laid beyond making that really cool robot. Lets get real! Open your mind guys. In this generation. Generation Y, we face greater narcissism then ever before, and this self absorption, this huge ego is almost celebrated. Brad Pitt (Particularly in Fight Club), Will Smith, and Vin Diesel are all physically attractive strong and athletic men who work hard to better themselves and speak with large vocabulary. MTV and the mainstream media in general is out there telling us HOW to dress, and WHAT to think. Our values are based off television at such a young age and we must THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. Attila the Hun was wise and strong and became a very successful conqueror. Napoleon Bonaparte was a very successful war general and emperor. Alexander the Great conquered mass areas of land and studied war strategy never once being placed in the geek squad. I enjoying listening to Lil Wayne's rap music but everything has its place. We must realize where we are at in society and what our priorities are! Should your role model be a drug using, violence promoting rapper? I will be the first to say George Washington would never "join the geek squad" and neither do I. I am a successful MMA fighter, sports enthusiastic, avid adrenal freak, love snowboarding and skydiving and anything extreme yet I find time to learn! It all comes back to the famous statement that IGNORANCE is bliss. We are not a world of stupid people, we just CHOOSE not to learn things placed in front of us. People rather live in a happy bubble with blinders on and a pretend view of what existence really is. OPEN YOUR MIND! Step out of the bubble and learn!
