Conrad Alexander Stojak was born in New York City in 1976. In high school, he interned at the P.S.1 museum and worked alongside L.A. based muralist and sculptor, Noa Bornstein. In college, Conrad took a hiatus from art and studied filmmaking, making comedy shorts with his sketch group Cheese Theatre. Cheese Theatre thus went out to partner with Troma Entertainment, (The Toxic Avenger) starring in their film and television productions. After graduating magna cum laude from N.Y.I.T. in 1999 with a B.F.A. in filmmaking, Conrad fell into the world of television working as a shooter for the Queen Latifah Show, Cablevision and then finally at City Hall for the Mayor's office.
Dissatisfied with television however, Conrad quit working for the mayor and decided to pursue his dream to create a film based on his difficult relationship with his father. While in college, Conrad's father suffered a massive stroke and needed full time care. Along with his rigorous studies, he had to medicate and guard his father daily in order that he wouldn't hurt himself or others. This trauma laid the groundwork for Conrad to write and produce his first feature film, "Remembering Woodhaven" a loosely based autobiography on the challenges of being a caregiver child.
Conrad has been recognized as an "Outstanding Artist" by the city of New York and by Mayor Michael Bloomberg for his contribution in documenting "The Gates" installation by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. Recently, he was honored by his alma mater with a feature story in their upcoming alumni magazine. He is currently enrolled in The New School and attends the Art Students League working under the tutelage of renowned assemblagist Bruce Dorfman. In late 2010, Conrad will release his second feature film, "100 Proof" and he's in the planning stages to produce and direct James Michener's bestselling novel, "Poland" overseas.
Much better. Santa wolf: good budget morph. Good zoop out.
