religion in not innately good, I admit here and there may be a charity or an orphanage, and religion is a great way to get a society started and on the track to progress, but that dose not make up for century's of infanticide, genocide, War, slavery, and holding back scientific progress. if this channel offends you, go away I'm not forcing you to be here. To keep ancient superstitions in the forefront, and by doing so, holding back the progression of society, we are already extinct .

(")_(") ANIMAL CRUELTY
I don't care how much god likes the smell of burning flesh, I am against animal sacrifice.

your opinion is just as valid as anyone else's, remember that because no one's opinion matters at all. we are far to small in the scheme of things, in a few billion years we will all be long forgotten. I know it seems like a long time, but to this universe its just a blink of an eye. just remember that, you are just as insignificant as anyone else. don't you ever let anyone tell you they are better then you.

‎"I can't help feeling that the defensiveness of the religious is a symptom of religion's intellectual weakness. Believers feel far more threatened by the godlessness of infidels than vice versa."

-- Adam Wolstenholme

"Once you label me you negate me"
-- Soren Kierkegaard

"Where there is reverence there is fear, but there is not reverence everywhere that there is fear, because fear presumably has a wider extension than reverence."

"Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves. "
-- Henry David Thoreau

"Is what is morally good commanded by God because it is morally good, or is it morally good because it is commanded by God?" -- Plato

"There are only two things. Truth and lies. Truth is indivisible, hence it cannot recognize itself; anyone who wants to recognize it has to be a lier." -- Franz Kafka

"There exists only the present instant... a Now which always and without end is itself new. There is no yesterday nor any tomorrow, but only Now, as it was a thousand years ago and as it will be a thousand years hence." -- Meister Eckhart

I HATE BIGOTRY
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
How DARE you. How dare you claim moral high ground when your God is the one who ordered the death of 2.3 million, in the Bible alone. Just to put that into frame, Satan only killed around 10 according to the Bible. People laugh at you. Can't you see it? Of course not. You're blinded by the luminosity of your own ego.
'God' is merely the anthropomorphizing of your venom, arrogance, and self-righteousness.
Wearing no label of my own I exercise tolerance to all system of beliefs so long as it is harmless, meaningful, sensible, reasonable, just and beneficient to all. IF, there's anything that amuses me a lot, it's Religious intolerance, close-mindedness and social prejudice; mainly because these are the things which slows down progress and destroys the harmonious relationship between friends and family
You may pray for whatever you wish, but your presumption that you know me and of my feeling, stems from an ailment that plagues many: the belief that the whole universe and everything in it is not greater or less than what you yourself can conceive. Rather than pray for my failings, of which you do not understand, why don't you reflect on your own shortcomings and dare to transcend the tiny world you've constructed in your own head.

Yea I remember but I never said religion was innocent. I was pointing out that Christians have contributed a great deal in science without religion holding them back. The next time you get an Xray thank a Christian. You say religion is immoral and holding back progress because of a few incidents. Do I say science is immoral because of a few bad apples? Do I say it even though it's likely mankind will be killed off due to some scientific invention?

As for standing up for your rights, I'm only 17 I do what I can. :)

taken from your previous comment ;
- "The list of scientific achievements in ALL aspects by Christians are immeasurable. You will point to a few incidents in history as justification for this ridiculous view of yours" Remember now? and yes we've already established that scientific progress has led to death and destruction in many regards, but if it weren't for the same scientific progress the computer your reading this off of wouldn't exist, there would be no telephone no cars no microwaves no toasters no utilized electricity. No one has ever claimed to OWN science, at least not to my knowledge, because that notion is absurd.
have a nice day.

I don't remember saying religion was completely innocent?
What else went on centuries ago? You point to some crusades and 19 witches burned as proof of what? Was the world well advanced except for religion? I don't see too many crusades these days? The wars being fought are for secular reasons. Civil War, WW1, WW2, Vietnam, Korean and Desert Storm were all Secular wars. You go to a Catholic Hospital do they offer prayer healing only? You don't have to choose science or religion and somewhere along the way atheist got the idea they own science. Btw I appreciate what you said about defending my rights. It's not everyday someone will paraphrase Voltaire for me.

Thank you for your comment and your time. First off, yes, a lot of HUGE and irreversible mistakes have been made in the name of scientific progress, it would take a total asshole to say otherwise. secondly, to say there are no historical acts of religion holding back progress of knowledge is in its self a comical and clearly uneducated statement. simply Google the history of the catholic church. All the inquisitions, all the crusades all the genocides, infanticides, and out right torture tied to history simply due to religious superstition. research trial by water, trial by fire, or perhaps Witch burnings, ironically all in the name of an "all loving" god. i Do not dislike religion simply because of theism, in fact, I will fight to the death for a persons freedom to believe what they want, just don't cause harm.
Have a nice day

Scientific progress? This made up conflict between religion and science makes about as much sense as geology and math butting heads. The list of scientific achievements in all aspects by Christians are immeasurable. You will point to a few incidents in history as justification for this ridiculous view of yours but anyone with an ounce of intelligence will see what BS it is. But even if one took the bait and argued this, science has skeletons in its closet. How many were killed in medical experiments? Did religion make biological weapons or Nukes? Did religion shock peoples brain and stick needles in peoples eye? You need to clean your own house bud before you point out the dirt of others.

I agree with you in some regard, but your use of the words religion and religious are much too vague For the comment you've posted on my channel , The words theism and theist in there place fit perfect. Simply due to the religions that have no deity or theist concept such as Taoism. I thank you for your comment and your time.

Religious folks are willful participants in a non ending role playing game where the king has supernatural powers. The game entails the players to submit all freedom of inquiry and abandon their critical faculties for the game to feel real. Along with decoupled cognition, it is the most important aspect of the game, as the game cannot be played with out it. All unwilling players or spectators who are not engaged in the game or may have chosen an alternative fantasy role playing group to participate in, must be ridiculed or threatened with the games penalties. This entails using the players fears along with social abandonment to manipulate those who may otherwise not participate. Penalties also ensure the game continues unhindered by malcontents. A loss of players would jeopardize the games standing. Using decoupled cognition, the rule book containing game history along with the players own imagination, they can endlessly interact with the king who resides in a magical realm.
